Restoration Projects

The restoration projects listed below help stabilize streambanks, minimize the impacts of erosion, and enhance the health of local rivers, creeks and ditches. These projects are necessary to protecting nearby trails, infrastructure and natural ecosystems from the impacts of stormwater runoff and channel degradation.

Evergreen Watercourse Restoration Project

The City is initiating a watercourse restoration project in the neighbourhood of Evergreen Estates, Meadowview Subdivision, and Buldo Estates. The project will remove sediment that has been captured in the watercourse since it was originally constructed in the early 1980s.

Centennial Park Trail Protection Project

The City has finished stabilizing the eroding bank between Etobicoke Creek and the Etobicoke Creek Recreational Trail in Centennial Park. This project will protect the trail and prevent further erosion.
