Project Overview
As part of the City’s watercourse erosion program, the City has engaged the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) to restore the following stormwater outfall locations.
- Site 1: Closest Intersection – Castlemore Rd & Humberwest Pkwy
- Site 2: Closest Intersection – Castlemore Rd & The Gore Rd
- Site 3: Closest Intersection – Kennedy Rd & Derry Rd E
Over time, sediment buildup and plant growth have affected the downstream ditches and upstream infrastructure at the outlet locations. This project will remove excess material and return the sites to their original design so that there is positive drainage, allowing upstream infrastructure to function as intended and reduce any chances of localized flooding.
Project Timeline
Construction will begin in winter 2025 and is planned to be completed by spring 2026.
