Frequently Asked Questions

​Naming Rights are a financial transaction whereby a corporation or other entity purchases the right to name a facility or to name an asset within a facility, typically for a defined period of time. Through a contractual agreement, terms like rights fees, signage, sponsorship rights, renewal terms and other negotiations are outlined.  

Naming Rights do not impact the day-to-day operation of the City facility.

Naming Rights are governed by the City of Brampton Sponsorship & Naming Rights Policy.​

​The City of Brampton is focused on creating a prosperous, safe, engaging community for our residents. With increased fiscal pressures in our growing city we know we can’t do it alone. We need to partner for success.

Naming Rights agreements provide the City with alternative funding sources to minimize the impact on the taxpayer, while providing the highest quality of life for those who live here. The revenue from Naming Rights will help to offset some of the increased costs associated with providing greater service to residents, instead of passing on the cost to taxpayers.

​In March 2019, Brampton City Council approved a short list of City facilities for the sale of Naming Rights as part of adopting a citywide sponsorship strategy and an updated Sponsorship and Naming Rights Policy. The citywide Sponsorship and Naming Rights program offers customized opportunities for businesses to connect with the community, creating enhanced experiences for residents. New! MAC Hockey Rink Naming

Save Max Sports Centre

Save Max Real Estate Inc. has acquired the naming rights for the exterior of the facility, resulting in the renaming of the "Brampton Soccer Centre" to the "Save Max Sports Centre." All existing signage has been successfully updated to reflect the new name, and two additional exterior signs have been installed on the building. References to Brampton Soccer Centre have been fully phased out as of 2021.

The City has retained the right to offer and sell secondary naming rights within the facility, including indoor fields, courts, and exterior amenities.

Amenity Naming Rights

Amenity Naming Rights provide a unique and highly beneficial opportunity to enhance brand visibility and community engagement. By naming a public amenity, sponsors gain widespread exposure, increase brand recognition among residents and visitors and establish a strong connection with the local community.​​

Adjacent to The Rose Mainstage, The Rose Studio offers a black-box-style venue that can accommodate audiences of up to 120. Sponsorship provides a unique opportunity to be associated with a versatile and dynamic space for artistic performances, rehearsals, and community events, showcasing your support for the arts and local cultural initiatives.

The brand new Susan Fennell Youth Hub is now open, offering a safe space for youth from all walks of life to connect with each other, inspire ideas and access community supports to develop to their fullest potential. The Youth Hub features a variety of amenities available for sponsorship including a state of the art E-sports area, creative space, ideation rooms, and a lounge area.

A number of facilities across Brampton have community ice rinks available for sponsorship including Susan Fennell Sportsplex (4 Rinks), Cassie Campbell Community Centre (1 Rink) and Century Gardens Recreation Centre (2 Rinks). There are also 2 outdoor rinks located at Gore Meadows Community Centre (1 Rink) and at Chinguacousy Park (1 Rink).

Cricket is a very popular sport in Brampton and continues to grow in popularity amongst all age groups. Brampton is currently home to 22 cricket fields and 1 tape ball field across 16 locations citywide hosting 42 unique seasonal organizations, tournaments and individuals that book over 14,000 hours of field time.

A variety of sponsorship opportunities are available at several locations including Emancipation Park, Creditview Sandalwood Park, Gore Meadows Cricket Pitch, Earnscliffe Cricket Dome. Naming rights have already been sold for the Great Gulf Cricket Pitch at Teramoto Park and Kwality Sweets Cricket Pitch at Andrew McCandless Park.

The Cassie Campbell Community Centre and Save Max Sports Centre both feature spacious gymnasiums available for sponsorship. These community gymnasiums cater to a wide range of athletic and recreational activities, serving as a hub for fitness enthusiasts and sports enthusiasts alike.

The amenity naming right opportunity for the indoor soccer fields at Save Max Sports Centre offer a compelling chance for a sponsor to align their brand with an incredible sports facility, gaining visibility and community recognition while supporting youth development, athletics, and the vibrant local sports community.

Exterior Facility Naming Opportunities

In March 2019, Brampton City Council approved a short list of City facilities for the sale of naming rights as part of adopting a citywide sponsorship strategy and an updated Sponsorship and Naming Rights Policy.

The Gore Meadows Centre is a newer facility achieving LEED® Gold certification for outstanding environmental sustainability design. Located at the northeast end of the city, north of Castlemore Road on Gore Road, the centre features amenities such as indoor pools, a gymnasium, a fitness centre, a youth lounge, a library, outdoor basketball courts, a playground, and an ice rink. The facility averages 60,000 visitors per month. Take a virtual tour of the Gore Meadows Community Centre.

Plans are currently underway to enhance the grounds surrounding the community centre, called the Gore Meadows East Community Park, which will include an enhanced skate park, an activity hub, cricket amenities and other sports amenities. Set to be the latest Brampton destination park, the Community Park will feature modern design and construction, and provide increased access to innovative play structures and recreational amenities for residents of all ages and abilities.

 

LBP Brampton is located within the Civic Centre at Queen Street and Central Park Drive and across from Brampton's largest indoor shopping centre, Bramalea City Ce​ntre. This newly renovated space has a history of 46-years, and is home to many community productions. The recent renovation of LBP has made the 400-seat space more accessible, and user-friendly to local artists, curators and community groups. Take a virtual tour of the newly renovated Lester B. Located at one of Brampton’s busiest intersections at Steeles and Hurontario, the terminal is the gateway to bus routes connecting Brampton residents to our neighbour cities. A total of 23 routes operate out of Gateway Terminal, including Miway Route—103 Hurontario. On average, the terminal welcomes 36,000 passengers daily. ​

Located in central Brampton, Century Gardens is a multi-purpose facility at the main intersection of Rutherford Road and Vodden Street. It is host to various indoor and outdoor amenities. On average, receiving 60,000 visitors each month using its newly renovated pool, two ice rinks, fitness centre/fitzone, baseball diamonds, spray pad, playground and soccer fields.

This outdoor location in the heart of downtown Brampton is a popular venue for various programs and events year-round. Garden Square is home to major events like the Farmers Market and New Year’s Eve, as well as several free-to-attend summer programs that run from June to September, providing amusement for all. It is centrally located at Queen and Main Street.

The City of Brampton is in the process of creating two Community Youth Hubs at Century Gardens Recreation Centre and Susan Fennell Sportsplex! These Youth Hubs will serve as youth-centric spaces that act as a one-stop shop for services and activities for youth ages 14 to 29.

The 3200 sq. ft. Lawn Bowling Club facility will be demolished to make way for a new 12,500 sq. ft. building that will house the youth hub. The space will feature youth-oriented design and activities, including games and e-sports, group education and career advice, social services, and more.​

Located at Dixie Road & Balmoral Drive, Balmoral Recreation Centre features indoor and outdoor amenities, including an indoor pool with wheelchair lift, sauna/steam rooms, and an outdoor splash pad.

​Located in Southwest Brampton, Embleton Community Centre is a new two-storey, 100,000 square foot (approximate) multi-use, multi-seasonal, multi-generational community centre will potentially include an aquatics centre, fitness centre, gymnasium, outdoor tennis courts, artificial turf field, running track, multipurpose courts and a splash pad.

 

Located on the northwest end of Brampton (Creditview Road and Sandalwood Parkway), this 100-acre park is the first-of-its-kind in Ontario and fully Accessible for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) compliant. The play structures and elements throughout the park are fully accessible for individuals with physical, mental and emotional challenges and disabilities. A key feature is the Activity Hub themed with a water-cycle idea, and has colour-coordinated educational signage, a variety of park amenities that are also wheelchair accessible, and quiet/reflective areas available for children with development disabilities or for children who want to play alone. ​

Additional features of the park include multiple soccer fields, lacrosse fields, football fields, and cricket pitches. An interesting component of this park is the water runoff that recycles from the splashpad and rainfall to irrigate the adjacent soccer fields. This reduces overall water consumption and provides an environment-friendly design to reuse water within the park.

​Located at Dixie Road and Howden Boulevard, the Howden Recreation centre is an air conditioned, wheelchair accessible facility featuring a Y.M.C.A. Childcare Centre, and outdoor playgrounds.

Formerly home to Junior Hockey and Lacrosse teams in Brampton, Victoria Park was shuttered in May 2016 due to a fire that destroyed the premises. A new facility will include a fully accessible dry floor hockey rink to accommodate ball hockey, indoor field hockey and box lacrosse, universal change rooms with a shower and washroom, a coach/meeting room and referee room, a large multi-purpose room, two universal gender neutral washrooms, a second story mezzanine with seating for 500 patrons, and site improvements and landscaping. The new facility will also be home to the new Brampton Sports Hall of Fame.​

​Riverstone Golf and Country Club will be converted to a 34,000-square-foot recreation facility featuring an updated pool area, including a salt water pool, expanded change rooms and fitness rooms, and several multi-purpose rooms.

The new facility consists of a fire station, an emergency operations centre, administrative headquarters, and indoor training facilities within a single building of approximately 6,317 square metres. There are numerous outdoor training apparatuses on the 8.82 acre site.
