City of Brampton Logo

Welcome

Brampton is proud to be home to more than 82,000 residents aged 65 and older. According to the 2021 Statistics Canada Census, seniors make up 12.5% of the city’s population -- a number that continues to grow as our community evolves.

Understanding the vital role that physical activity, mental wellness and emotional well-being play in healthy aging, the City of Brampton is dedicated to providing programs, services and supports that help seniors stay active, safe and connected.

To guide this commitment, the City has developed the Age Friendly Strategy, a comprehensive action plan designed to foster an inclusive, supportive environment where older adults can thrive and enjoy a high quality of life at every stage of aging.
