Project Overview
As part of the City’s watercourse erosion program, the City has engaged Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) to complete erosion control and bank stabilization work within Sandalwood Park, along Etobicoke Creek.
The project will address ongoing erosion along the creek bank by stabilizing the affected areas to help protect the adjacent recreational trail and surrounding park infrastructure.
During construction, portions of Sandalwood Park and the recreational trail within the project area will be temporarily closed. Trail detours and signage will be in place to guide park users around the construction area.
Project Timeline
Construction is anticipated to begin in Fall 2026 and be completed by Spring 2027.
