Below are financial resources and funding programs that may help cover the cost of recreation programs, equipment, or support services available to children, youth and adults with disabilities. Complex Special Needs	Families must demonstrate that the child has severe, multiple disabilities requiring cross-sector, intensive support that exceeds existing system capacity. ErinOakKids – Family Support Fund	The need for financial assistance must result from extraordinary costs directly related to child’s disability. The child must be under the age of 18 years. The child must be a current ErinOakKids client. Household annual income to be under $75,000. Families must have exhausted other available financial resources. The child cannot have received a grant from this fund in the preceding 12 months.	Up to $1,000 per year for respite and recreation requests. Autism Ontario – One to One Summer Support Worker Reimbursement Fund	Child must have a confirmed Autism diagnosis. Child must a resident of Ontario.	Up to $600 per summer, per child. Funding can only be used to cover the cost of 1-2-1 support for camps. This funding requires annual application and is a lottery draw and therefore not guaranteed. Canadian Tire Jumpstart	Families must be within Canada’s Low-Income Cut-Offs (LICO) chart. Jumpstart uses the furthest column to the right of the chart for eligibility. View LICO Chart Child must be between the ages of 4 to 18 years old.	Up to $300 to cover the cost of registration or equipment. Funding is allocated to sustained programs that involve a sport or physical activity. Activities must run for at least 5 weeks with a minimum of 1 session per week. Disability Tax Credit	Participant will require a medical practitioner certifying that they have a severe and prolonged impairment in 1 of the categories, significant limitations in 2 or more categories, or receive therapy to support a vital function. Participant and/or caregiver must file with Canada Revenue Agency.	Adult can claim: $10,138 on tax return. Child under 18 years can claim: $16,052 on tax return. Registered Disability Savings Plan	Plan holder must be approved for the DTC. Plan holder must have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN). Plan holder must be a resident of Canada when the plan is entered. Plan holder must be under the age of 60 years.	For every $1,500 contributed per year, the government will match $3,500 in the form of a grant up to a lifetime maximum of $70,000. Funds cannot be withdrawn before the age of 60 without penalty. Canada Caregiver Credit	You may be able to claim the Canada caregiver credit if you support your spouse, child, parent, grandparent, or other immediate family members who has a mental or physical infirmity. These dependents must regularly and consistently rely on you for basic necessities of life, such as food, shelter and clothing.	For dependents over the age of 18 you may claim $2,687 on line 30300 and up to $8,601 on line 30425. Canada Child Benefit	You must live with a child who is under the age of 18 years. You must be primarily responsible for the upbringing and care for the child. Easter Seals – Access2Card	The cardholder must live with a permanent disability. The nature of the cardholder’s disability must require them to have the assistance of a support person, when visiting community outings/venues.	Cost: $35 for 5 years OR $25 for 3 years. Assistive Devices Program (ADP)	Participant must be a resident of Ontario. Participant must have a valid Ontario health card. Participant must have a physical disability requiring the equipment or supplies for 6 months or longer. Participant must meet clinical criteria specific to the device they are applying for.
