What Amenities Will Victoria Park Arena Offer?

​Formerly home to Junior Hockey and Lacrosse teams in Brampton, Victoria Park was shuttered in May 2016 due to a fire that destroyed the premises. A new facility will include a fully accessible dry floor arena to accommodate a variety of sports including box lacrosse, ball hockey, and indoor field hockey. The renovated Victoria Park will feature six team changerooms with showers and washrooms, a coach/meeting room and referee room, a large multi-purpose room, two universal gender-neutral washrooms, a second story mezzanine with seating for 500 patrons and site improvements and landscaping. The new facility will also be home to the new Brampton Sports Hall of Fame​

​A new multi-purpose recreation facility is being constructed, featuring a fully accessible dry-floor hockey rink designed to support a variety of sports, including ball hockey, indoor field hockey and box lacrosse. The facility will also include the new Brampton Sports Hall of Fame.​

​This project will replace the former arena and provide a modern, accessible facility that supports a wide range of recreational activities while celebrating Brampton’s sporting history. The Victoria Park Arena project aligns with Initiative 2–6 of the Parks and Recreation Master Plan (PRMP) by enhancing the quality of park and recreation experiences through the integration of the Brampton Sports Hall of Fame. This addition not only enriches the visitor experience but also contributes to the PRMP’s broader vision of investing in meaningful, high-quality recreational spaces across the City. ​The previous facility is no longer in operation. Programs have been accommodated at alternate locations where applicable. ​

​The new facility will include a multi-use dry-floor rink, multi-purpose program space, spectator seating, universal washrooms, change rooms and the Brampton Sports Hall of Fame.​
