Frequently Asked Questions What is a drop-in program?Drop-in programs are one-time use, pay-as-you-go programs that are not part of a multi-date course. Examples include public swims, public skates and programs labeled as “drop-in".How do I register for a drop-in program?Registration is available 25 hours in advance for residents and members and one hour in advance for non-residents. Registration can be completed online at www.brampton.ca/registerforprograms, in-person at any recreation centre or over the phone by calling 311.Do I need to register in advance for drop-in programs if I have a membership?Advanced registration is recommended to secure a spot, ensure proper planning, and guarantee access to high-demand recreation programs, even with a membership. Register in advance, as popular programs tend to fill up fast. Walk-ins are accommodated if space is available.What if I can’t make my drop-in program?Please cancel your drop-in reservation by logging into your online registration account. Cancellations are accepted via 311 up to one hour in advance of the program start time. Participants can also email recreation@brampton.ca to cancel their booking with 24 hours advance notice. Cancelling a program you can no longer attend ensures that spots can be made available to other members of the community.Will there be a change to the 15 minute rule for drop-ins?No, the terms and conditions for drop-in programs will remain unchanged. If participants do not arrive within fifteen (15) minutes of their reservation time for drop-in programs, their spot may be forfeited. What happens if I can’t get into a popular class?We understand that some classes fill up quickly. Our programming team regularly reviews feedback and registration numbers to assess demand and when possible, adjust program offerings. If you are unable to secure a spot in your preferred class, our staff will be happy to assist you in exploring alternative options that may fit your interests and schedule. Please speak to the front desk for support.I am a non-resident. When can I register for programs?If you are a non-resident with an active membership, you can still register 25 hours in advance of your program.
