When Do You Need a Sign Permit?
You need a sign permit if you are planning to:
- Install a new sign (ground, wall, roof, or mobile)

Replace an existing sign with one that is different in size or design
- Put up a temporary sign (banners, development signs, real estate signs)
Before You Apply
- Check the Sign By-law to make sure your sign follows the City's regulations.

Get permission from the property owner or landlord.

Prepare drawings showing dimensions

- Site plan or survey
- Fee payment
After You Apply
Once your permit is approved:
- Display your permit on-site in a visible location
