Enforcement and By-law Services Roundtable

​​​​​​The Enforcement and By-law Services Roundtable brings together residents, Members of Council and City staff to share perspectives, exchange information and discuss broader matters related to enforcement and community standards.​

About the Roundtable

The Roundtable was established at the direction of Council to provide a collaborative forum for discussion on broader matters related to Enforcement and By-law Services.

The Roundtable supports informed dialogue and a shared understanding of community needs, enforcement practices and service delivery.

Topics may include parking enforcement, property standards, noise enforcement, proactive enforcement, service delivery, data and reporting and enforcement deployment.

The proposed Roundtable is comprised of one Council-appointed resident representative from each ward and up to five Members of Council.

City staff and subject matter experts will participate as appropriate to provide information and context on the topics being discussed.

What is the role of the Roundtable?

The Roundtable provides a forum for constructive dialogue and information-sharing between residents, Council and City staff.

Discussions will help strengthen understanding of enforcement services and community standards and build on the significant improvements already made to service delivery and community responsiveness.

The Roundtable is not a decision-making body and does not direct enforcement operations or replace existing processes for reporting service requests, submitting complaints or addressing individual enforcement matters.


The Roundtable was created to provide an ongoing forum for residents, Council and City staff to discuss broader enforcement-related matters and share information and perspectives. ​

No. Residents with by-law enforcement concerns are encouraged to submit a service request to Service Brampton by using the Brampton 311 app (available on the App Store and Google Play), visiting 311brampton.ca or by dialing 3-1-1 or 905.874.2000 (outside Brampton)​

No. The Roundtable will focus on broader matters and will not review individual tickets, investigations, enforcement files or active cases. ​

No. The Roundtable is a forum for discussion and information-sharing. It does not direct enforcement operations or make decisions on behalf of the City. ​

The Roundtable brings together community perspectives, Council and City expertise to support informed dialogue, strengthen understanding of enforcement services and build on the improvements already made to service delivery and community responsiveness.​
