​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The Building Division provides inspections to ensure compliance with the Ontario Building Code (OBC) and relevant City By-Laws. Inspection Services helps to ensure construction is completed in accordance with the approved plans. We also guide the homeowner or contractor in completing the co​nstruction project correctly. If inspections are not requested at appropriate times, u​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ncovering the construction will be required.

Request an Inspection​

Requests must be received by 2pm to be considered for the next business day. You will receive an email at the end of the business day confirming the date of your inspection.

Inspections take place between 8am and 4pm daily. The attendee should be on site between 8am and 4pm to conduct your building, plumbing or HVAC inspection on the day requested.
