Performing Arts Brampton offers live music, theatre and culture throughout August

​BRAMPTON, ON (August 12, 2022) – The City of Brampton is excited to offer live music, theatrical entertainment and culture for all to enjoy this summer both in Garden Square and at The Rose Brampton.

Performing Arts Brampton is hosting the following shows: 

Stomp N Stampede – August 13, 4 to 8 pm, Garden Square Brampton

Grab your cowboy hat and boots – and maybe a dancing partner too! Stomp N' Stampede returns to Garden Square on August 13 to celebrate all things country! Enjoy host DJ Johnny Rivex spinning live and headliner Nicole Rayy. Plus, don't miss line dancing lessons from the Double Trouble line dancers.

Across The Pond – August 25, 8 pm, The Rose Brampton

Join Leisa Way and the sensationally talented 5-piece Lonely Hearts Club Band as they take you on an electrifying musical adventure. Relive a ground-breaking time in history when British pop music jumped "Across the Pond” thanks to four mop-headed boys from Liverpool who incited a frenzy of popularity. Rapidly spreading across North America, it became known as, "The British Invasion," and began with the code word, “Beatlemania”!

Across the Pond celebrates 50 years of British pop and rock music from those thrilling hits of the 60’s to today’s biggest stars, saluting musical royalty such as: The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Elton John, Tom Jones, Elvis Costello, The Who, Sting & the Police; Annie Lennox, The Kinks, and many more! Put on your dancing shoes for a night of fun at this smash hit concert you don’t want to miss!

Monsoon Sound – August 27, 7 pm, The Rose Brampton Lobby

Performing Arts Brampton is proud to serve in a community where 44.3 per cent of its residents are of South Asian descent. Thriving in this beautiful Mosaic, young South Asian communities are emerging with new voices and new forms of expression. See the unique blends of different cultures with the rise of South Asian hip hop, where traditional sounds like Bhangra are often married with everything from classic boom-bap, smooth jazz-rap to trap beats, at a free South Asian hip hop festival curated by Noyz, featuring:

Coming in September

Flow Fest – September 17, 7:30 pm, The Rose Brampton

Open your beating hearts to the first-ever Flow Fest, Brampton International Drumming Festival! This exciting evening features headliners The Larnell Lewis Band and The Joy Lapps Project. Grammy Award winning, Brampton-raised musician, composer and educator, Larnell Lewis and Grammy-nominated musician, composer and educator Joy Lapps, lead a musical fusion of Afro-Caribbean and jazz ensembles sure to bring audiences hearts together as one.

Dance, drum, and party with Ngoma, one of Canada’s premier youth-led ensembles. The night doesn’t stop here - with DJ Joshua Lucas, roaming musical ensembles, food, art exhibit and more, audiences will be fully immersed in an evening of drumming, music and culture from around the world.
