Corporate Asset Management

CAMPlanThe City of Brampton has approximately $6.3 billion in assets, excluding land.  All assets have a useful service life and it is vital that these assets are managed carefully in order to maintain the required level of service in the most cost-effective manner.
The Corporate Asset Management Plan (CAMPlan) provides a framework to a tactical and strategic plan for managing our infrastructure and other assets. It is a “coordinated activity of an organization to realize value from its assets” – ISO 55000

This Plan:

  • Demonstrates that Levels of Service are being met in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Demonstrates that due regard is being given to the long-term stewardship and sustainability of the asset base.
  • Demonstrates responsible management of the asset portfolio
    Communicates and justifies funding requirements.
  • Demonstrates the commitment that assets will be maintained in compliance with regulations.
