BRAMPTON, ON (June 16, 2021) – Today, Brampton City Council unanimously supported a motion to work with the University of Guelph and Humber College to bring the University of Guelph-Humber (UofGH) to Brampton’s new Centre for Innovation (CFI). City staff and the institutions will now begin work on identifying required supports and business terms for the potential relocation of the campus as an anchor tenant in the CFI.

Court ruling awards costs and rules for City in Integrity Commissioner Findings of Sexual Harassment against Councillor Dhillon

BRAMPTON, ON (June 11, 2021) – Today, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice – Divisional Court ruled in favour of the City of Brampton and the City’s Integrity Commissioner, and awarded costs to both, in the case of Dhillon v. The Corporation of the City of Brampton, with respect to the Integrity Commissioner’s findings of misconduct allegations against Councillor Dhillon, and Council’s decision to accept those findings.

City of Brampton partners with RIC Centre and Communitech to slow spread of COVID-19 and restart local economy with rapid screening for small and medium businesses

Today, the City of Brampton announced that its Economic Development Office, in coordination with the Brampton Emergency Management Office, has partnered with RIC Centre and Communitech to provide small to medium-sized businesses in Brampton with free COVID-19 rapid screening kits. Dubbed StaySafe, the program will help to slow the spread of COVID-19 and ensure a swift local economic recovery.

BRAMPTON, ON (June 7, 2021) – Following the Government of Ontario’s announcement today, the City of Brampton is preparing to safely move to Step One of the Province’s Roadmap to Reopen this Friday, June 11, at 12:01 am. This step comes three days ahead of schedule thanks to the Province’s vaccine rollout in partnership with local public health units, health care partners, municipalities, and the ongoing dedication of our community.
