Small Business Month 2026 events to connect, learn and grow 

Throughout the month, the Brampton Entrepreneur Centre (BEC) is offering free events and programming to help aspiring and established business owners connect, learn and access resources to support their growth. They include:

How to Start a Small Business Seminar

Learn the essential steps to turn a business idea into reality and get practical information to help start a small business.

Brampton Ignite – Networking Group

Connect with fellow local entrepreneurs, exchange ideas and build relationships with Brampton’s business community.

Entrepreneurs Connect

Join fellow entrepreneurs every Tuesday in October for networking, conversations and opportunities to share ideas, challenges and experiences. Entrepreneurs Connect is sponsored by Meridian.

Brampton Connect

In partnership with the Brampton Board of Trade, Brampton Connect brings together local businesses, entrepreneurs and community partners to build connections, exchange ideas and strengthen Brampton’s business community.

Supporting Brampton businesses in a changing economy

The City recently introduced its 10-Point U.S. Tariff and Economic Resilience Plan, bringing together immediate business supports and longer-term strategies focused on protecting local jobs and businesses, strengthening competitiveness, diversifying trade and attracting investment.

As part of this work, the City launched the Brampton Business Growth Accelerator​ with a $2.5 million investment from the Government of Canada through the Regional Tariff Response Initiative. Led by Invest Brampton, the program will help businesses, including small businesses, access tailored advisory services, explore new markets, strengthen supply chains and adopt new technologies to support growth and competitiveness.

Through the Brampton Economic Development Office and BEC, the City continues to provide entrepreneurs and small business owners with information, guidance, training, mentorship and connections to help them start, grow and succeed.
