Project Updates
Brampton Transit is working closely with Metrolinx, the provincial government agency responsible for leading the Hurontario LRT. The project team has committed to informing the public and stakeholders with as much notice as possible of potential disruptions.
Major construction began in Spring 2020 and the expected completion is Fall 2024. The construction period is expected to bring impacts and disruptions to residents and businesses.

The following construction projects are currently underway in Brampton:

Median Removals on Hurontario St - Bartley Bull Pkwy to South of City limits
- To prepare for the construction of the Hurontario LRT, crews will be removing existing medians along Hurontario Street between Bartley Bull Parkway and Derrycrest Drive. This work will include the removal of City owned trees located within the medians. Once all medians have been removed, the area will be converted to roadway, reducing the lane restrictions required during major construction.
