Rules for Driveway Paving Contractors
To support contractors and homeowners and ensure reliable construction, the City of Brampton has strengthened rules for contractors performing driveway paving work.
Contractors are required to complete an
online application prior to a license being issued or renewed. They must also submit a $5,000 security deposit. To provide the security deposit in person, contractos may
book an appoitment to attend City Hall; or attend as a walk-in Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. Note: when booking an appointment, select Driveway Paving and Pool Installation Contractors.
Property owners must ensure that the contractor performing driveway paving work on their property is licensed by the City of Brampton.

Both contractors and residents are responsible for ensuring that construction is in line with City by-laws, to help create safer homes and an attractive community. Failure to follow the rules could result in penalties issued to both contractor and the homeowner.
