Whether you're local or visiting from out of town, there are specific requirements to operate booths, tents, trucks, carts or trailers within our city. Please review the information below to ensure you are fully compliant before participating in any special event.
A Special Event Permit is required for all vendors participating in city events.
Special Event Permit Application
For vendors with a City of Brampton Stationary Business Licence or City of Brampton Mobile Licence
If your business is based in Brampton and you hold a valid City of Brampton Stationary Business or Mobile Licence, the following documentation is required to apply. The permit fee is waived.
Vendors with a Fixed Food Premise
- Copy of your City of Brampton Fixed Food Premise Business Licence, and
- Special Event Permit (Fee is waived)
Caterers
Mobile Vendors (food trucks, carts, trailers, etc.)
- Copy of your City of Brampton Refreshment Vehicle Operator Licence,
- Copy of your Refreshment Vehicle Plate Licence, and
- Special Event Permit (Fee is waived)
For vendors without a City of Brampton Stationary Business Licence or City of Brampton Mobile Licence
If your business is based outside of Brampton, or you do not currently hold a City of Brampton Licence, please complete the application form below. A permit fee applies.

Application Process
Apply ten business days in advance to avoid delays.
- Download and complete the relevant Special Event Permit form above.
- Ensure all required documentation listed on the form is included.
- Email your completed form and supporting documents to enforcementclerks@brampton.ca.
- Once your application is approved, you will receive a payment link (if applicable) to complete the process.
- Keep your permit confirmation for your records and inspection purposes.
