
Twenty high school entrepreneurs from across the Province will pitch their ideas at OCE Discovery 2018 for up to $3,000 in start-up funds and entrepreneurial mentorship through Ontario’s Summer Company program and other awards in the Young Entrepreneurs, Make your Pitch competition.
Now in its sixth year and presented by Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE) and the Ministry of Economic Development and Growth (MEDG), the competition invites high-school entrepreneurs from across Ontario to pitch their innovative ideas online via a two-minute video. The twenty finalists were chosen through online voting and judges’ scores from over 200 video submissions and on April 30, will pitch their ideas to a live audience and a panel of judges at Discovery 2018.
The Brampton Entrepreneur Centre is thrilled to announce that four Brampton high school students have been selected as finalists and will represent our city at this years Discovery Conference.
2018 Young Entrepreneurs, Make Your Pitch Brampton finalists are:
1. Prayag Shah of Brampton for the company Mealeaf (North Park Secondary School)
2. Raquel Goka of Brampton for the company R.A.C.K.S. (St. Roch Catholic Secondary School)
3. Haris Kamal of Brampton for the company GameFind (North Park Secondary School)
4. Aaliyan Khan of Brampton for the company The Positivity Projec(Brampton Centennial Secondary School)
Through the Young Entrepreneurs, Make Your Pitch competition, we are seeing the immense business potential, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit of high-school students in Brampton. It is exciting to inspire, foster, and support the next generation of Brampton-based entrepreneurs and innovators.
