Update to Peel Region’s Affordable Transit Program

Effective Wednesday, April 1, 2026, the Affordable Transit Program (ATP) will expand to include Caledon residents and introduce a 50 per cent discount on single PRESTO fares for adults, youth and seniors (Caledon residents) to remove barriers for qualified residents with low incomes and serve more residents.

This new addition of single PRESTO fare subsidy will allow eligible participants from Brampton and Caledon to pay 50% on Brampton Transit $1.78 (adult fare), $1.48 (youth fare) and $0.93 (senior fare for Caledon residents), with the remaining 50% to be recovered from Peel Region. The subsidized adult monthly pass will remain an option.
