Argo

​​Effective November 26, Argo’s fully electric Smart Routing™ on-demand pilot service is available in​ the downtown Brampton area​, making it easier than ever to take Brampton Transit and GO Transit with PRESTO.​​​​​​​​

Ways to book

Residents will be able to download the Argo ap​p to register to ride. Access will open gradually, and as a result, each rider start date may vary. The app is available on the iOS Apple Store​ and Google Play Store.

Lost and Found

Lost and Found items on Argo vehicles will be processed through Brampton Transit’s Lost and Found, passe​ngers can call 905.874.2750 ext. 62732 or submit a web inquiry online.

  1. Download the BT On Demand app by visiting the Google Play or Apple App Store.
  2. Create an account using your phone number.
  3. Enter your trip start and end locations.
  4. BT On Demand app will then check for available rides and give you the earliest possible ride.
  5. Select and confirm the number of passengers traveling with you, then press the Request Ride button.
  6. Users will be directed to wait at the designated location to meet the approaching bus. 
  7. Users will be required to pay when boarding the bus. Accepted forms of payment, cash, PRESTO, contactless credit, and debit.
  8. Trip updates can be found in the app and text message notifications will be provided in real time including when your vehicle is arriving!

​If riders don’t have access to a smartphone or to the website, requests can be made by phone at 905.874.2999, agents are available. 

  • Monday to Friday: between 7 am and 9 pm 
  • Saturday: between 7 am and 7 pm 
  • Sunday: between 9 am and 6 pm  
Provide the agent with your information, location, intended destination and preferred departure or arrival time. The agent will confirm and provide trip details verbally.

Argo is a fully electric mobility solution that connects to the existing Brampton Transit network with on-demand service in the downtown area. Using the Argo Transit app, the service connects you with fully electric Argo vehicles near your door for a standard PRESTO fare, with connections to Brampton Transit and GO Transit services. Argo's Smart Routing™ system combines your trip with others headed in the same direction.​

Argo’s 12-month pilot service begins on November 26, 2025, when riders can download the app to register. ​

  1. Download the Argo app (iOS Apple Store​ or Google Play Store​).
  2. Create your account and register.​

Argo rides cost the same as a regular Brampton Transit trip. You can pay using your PRESTO card. Fare payments on Argo vehicles will be accepted through PRESTO, current Brampton Transit PRESTO fares apply. Cash and paper tickets will not be accepted, though all other forms of Brampton Transit fare media remain valid, including transfers.​
