About the Project

The City of Brampton is building a new field hockey and multisport training dome at Cassie Campbell Community Centre. The project will include:

  • An indoor field hockey pitch
  • A straight running track combined with long and triple jump sand pits.
  • Cricket and baseball batting cages.
  • Comfort station containing change rooms and washroom facilities.​

A year-round dome structure is being added, replacing a soccer pitch that was also being used as a cricket pitch, to support extended use throughout the year.​​

​The field dome is being added as part of the City's initiative to winterize amenities, allowing residents to enjoy recreational activities year-round. It will provide a weather-protected space for programs and training as mentioned in the Parks and Recreation Masterplan 5 Year Review. The dome also supports initiative 5-5 of continuing to establish Brampton as the Cricket Capital of Canada. Residents are encouraged to visit the Parks and Recreation Master Plan webpage for more details.​

​Temporary disruptions to field access may occur during installation. Users will be notified of any program changes in advance. Cassie Campbell Recreation Centre will remain open during construction.​
