The City of Brampton supports feral cat colony operators and care takers as we recognizes the important work being done in managing the feral cat population. In order to qualify for any of the exemptions under Brampton By-law 201-2023 and to be eligible to participate in the TNRM Program, the applicant must;

  • Submit a completed registration form which will be reviewed by the Manager of Animal Services or their designate (any incomplete applications will not be processed and a staff member will likely follow up for more information).
  • Agree to the terms and conditions for a TNRM Operator, as set out in this.

Agree and Comply*

I understand and agree to comply with all of the regulations contained in the Animal Services By-law 201-2023 or any imposed terms and conditions that are reasonably placed by the Manager of Animal Services.

I shall only operate a Feral Cat Colony on a property where I am the owner of the property or have written consent from the owner of the property to operate within.

I will keep Brampton Animal Services updated yearly on the status of the Feral Cat Colony and report immediately if the Feral Cat Colony is no longer active.

I will keep accurate records of the feral colony cats including the number of cats, descriptions of each individual cat and any details relating to health, behaviour, veterinary care, transfers and arrival of new cats and to provide documentation/information upon request of the Manager of Animal Services or their designate.

To work cooperatively and transparently with Animal Services and regulatory agencies. To allow Animal Services to conduct a complaint basis inspection.

I understand the City reserves the right to cancel, suspend or alter the TNRM Program at any time.
