The Home Voting Service will be available this year for eligible voters who are home-bound due to illness, injury or disability. This is an appointment-based service that assists with increasing access and is part of the City of Brampton's Accessibility Plan for the 2022 Municipal and School Board Election.

This year, the Home Voting Service will take place from Tuesday, October 11 to Thursday, October 13, during regular business hours. Eligible voters who are home-bound can contact the Election Office to schedule an appointment for home voting. Up to 100 appointments are available. Election officials will visit the voter at their home in order to conduct the home vote.

Other options are available to cast a ballot for voters who are unable to vote on Voting Day:
  • Vote during Advance Voting - eligible voters can vote at any advance voting location across the city
  • Proxy voting - an eligible voter may appoint another eligible voter as a proxy to vote on their behalf if they are unable to attend a voting location
To request an appointment for home voting, an eligible voter must either call the Election Office at 905.874.2424 or complete this online form. The last day to request a home voting appointment is Wednesday, October 12 at 12 noon
