Outdoor Large-Scale Festivals & Events – 2026 Update

Prioritizing Public Safety
The City is taking important steps to ensure outdoor festivals and events continue to be delivered safely in response to a rise in safety concerns and operational pressures at large outdoor events. These measures will help ensure the safety and well-being of residents, visitors, event organizers, and the staff who support events on-site.

Temporary Limit on Large-Scale Outdoor Events
The City is temporarily limiting the number of outdoor large-scale events on City-owned property between May and September 2026.
During this period:

  • Only Council approved outdoor large-scale festivals or events will be permitted on City-owned property between May and September 2026
  • No additional outdoor large-scale festivals or events will be scheduled

Types of Events

The type of event you are looking to host, will determine the process for booking and planning.
