These Youth Hubs will serve as youth-centric spaces that act as a one-stop shop for services and activities for youth ages 14 to 29. To make sure the Youth Hubs are created to serve the needs of youth, the City of Brampton launched an extensive consultation with youth and youth service providers to obtain input on how to design and program these spaces. The consultation period has concluded. View the report here. Existing space at Susan Fennell Sportsplex (2,850 sq. ft.) has been converted to an open concept collaborative space for youth. The hub features an e-Sports games room, creative space, meeting rooms, and a modern lounge area with built in nooks. This hub provides a variety of services including youth leadership development, health and social services, employment and career services, and more. This includes an enclosed area with leading-edge electronic sports (E-sports) technology, and a creative space for multi-media arts programming opportunities such as recording/creating music and videos.Why was Susan Fennell Sportsplex selected as one of the Community Youth Hub locations?Susan Fennell Sportsplex was selected as an ideal location for a Community Youth Hub due to the large youth population and several accessible transit options.
