Tourism celebrates a destination’s greatest strengths and thrives on authentic expressions of culture, including the customs, art, food and traditions of various ethnic groups that make up a diverse destination. The Tourism Sponsorship Program responsibly supports Festivals that produce compelling experiences, increase economic activity, celebrate multiculturalism and create awareness of Brampton as a destination. Brampton based non-profit or charitable organizations hosting a festival in Brampton in 2026 are eligible to apply.
In 2026, the Tourism Sponsorship Program continues to support existing Experience Brampton Festivals and will accept
one new festival under this category.
The successful Experience Brampton Festival recipient will:
- Positively contribute to the City’s economy through increased tourist visitation
- Create opportunities for local businesses, enhance the well-being of residents, build community legacies and build civic pride
- Promote Brampton as a destination regionally, provincially and nationally by generating positive media and audience coverage

FESTIVAL ELIGIBILITY
- Festival must be open to the public
- Festival must include communications and marketing plan to promote to visitors from greater than 40 km outside of Brampton
- Festival must have an attendance of more than 1,000 unique visitors
- Festival must have a minimum overall budget of $60,000 (new festivals only)
- Festival must hire a minimum of of 25% of their entertainment, food vendors and operational vendors from Brampton
- Festival must have been run at least three times by the same organization
- Applicants must be an incorporated non-profit or registered charity that have been operational for three years
