The 2025 Sponsorship Forum will explore the power of partnerships and how it can create lasting impact in our community.

The event will feature keynote speaker Phillip Haid, Founder and CEO of Public Inc., as he leads a discussion on how your brand can drive meaningful change through authentic sponsorships, purpose-driven campaigns and collaborations.

Learn from industry leaders in our panel discussion that will include Dakota Whyte,Executive Director of Pascal Siakam's Foundation (PS43), Marco Di Buono, President of Canadian Tire Jumpstart, and Alicia Rose, AVP, Social Impact & Strategy at TD.​

Phillip founded PUBLIC in 2008 to accelerate positive change in the world. ​The social impact agency designs social and environmental purpose brands, strategies and campaigns. As CEO, he is responsible for overseeing the strategic and creative growth of the​ business, including oversight on some of PUBLIC’s North American clients.

Marco Di Buono, Ph.D. - Panelist

Marco Di Buono, Ph.D. - Panelist

Dr. Di Buono is the President of Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities, a national charity committed to ensuring Canadian kids have equitable access to sport, physical activity and recreation. Dr. Di Buono has played an instrumental role in shaping Jumpstart since 2015 when he first joined as AVP, Programs & Operations. He led the growth of the Charity, doubling the size of its disbursements to now reach over 400,000 kids annually throughout communities in all 10 provinces and three territories, and building over 500,000 square feet of inclusive recreational play spaces in 36 communities across Canada.

He also led the transformation of Jumpstart to become a global leader in sport for development, serves as a trusted ally to various levels of government and sport sector leaders in Canada, and most importantly has developed enduring relationships with community leaders across Canada.

Before joining Jumpstart, Dr. Di Buono spent three years as Vice President, Science, Research & Professional Education at the American Heart Association, where he was responsible for the Association’s $170 million research enterprise and oversaw the development of clinical practice guidelines and professional education resources. Prior to entering the charitable sector, Dr. Di Buono oversaw Scientific & Regulatory Affairs at Kellogg Canada, wherein he played a significant role in both domestic and global product innovation.

Dr. Di Buono holds a Ph.D. in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Toronto and has a history of advocating for the health and well-being of children and youth.

Alicia is AVP, Social Impact & Strategy at TD. She leads the bank’s philanthropy and colleague engagement portfolios, including the Friends of the Environment Foundation. She also drives TD’s human rights and financial inclusion strategies, helping expand access for underbanked communities. In 2024, she was named one of Future of Good’s 17 Outstanding Canadians in Social Impact for her leadership in corporate citizenship.

Dakota Whyte is a dynamic force in the world of sports and philanthropy. A former professional women’s basketball player and youth Olympian, Dakota showcased her talent and dedication as a Division 1 athlete at the University of Wisconsin, where she honed her skills and passion for the game. Her journey took her beyond the court as she played professionally and later brought her expertise to Nike, where she contributed to the intersection of sports, branding, and community engagement.

Currently, Dakota serves as the Executive Director of the PS43 Foundation, where she champions initiatives that empower underprivileged youth through sports and education. She is also the founder of a sport philanthropy firm dedicated to creating sustainable solutions that leverage the power of athletics for social good. Dakota’s commitment to athlete advocacy reflects her belief in the transformative power of sports, as she tirelessly works to elevate the voices and experiences of athletes in various communities.

Holding an MBA from Toronto Metropolitan University, Dakota combines her business acumen with her passion for sports to drive impactful change. With her unique blend of experience and vision, Dakota Whyte continues to inspire and uplift those around her, proving that the spirit of a champion extends far beyond the game.

Kenn Lewis, Musician/Producer/Songwriter​ hails from the Caribbean and has played the Toronto scene and suburban cities for many years. The Multi-instrumentalist, uses the Steel Drums as his main instrument of choice. He has shared the stage with many local and foreign artists.

The styles of music he plays varies from Reggae to R&B, however his main musical theme are hot & spicy Caribbean Rhythms.​​

Omega Mighty, Singer-Songwriter and Performance Artist

Omega is an eclectic female singer-songwriter and performance artist from Toronto, ON with a distinctive lower register and an amazing skill for arranging. Her sound is a fusion of R&B/hip hop and dancehall. She began to perfect her artistic craft from the age of 4 training in classical piano and by age 9, she furthered her love for music and performance with formal vocal lessons and dance training in tap, ballet, dancehall and hip hop. You can expect her live performance to encompass smooth sultry vocals, vibrant movement and a militant aura. As an integral member of Mighty Gang, Omega wears multiple hats bringing together energetic stage performances as singer-songwriter, producer, and creative director.

Nachde Rangeelay Academy is a Bhangra dance academy where we train the next generation the folk roots of Bhangra but keeping it interesting with a modern touch. We offer classes to all ages and everyone is welcome. Nachde Rangeelay Academy has very well established themselves in the entertainment industry this past year performing at over 250 events. Our goal at Nachde Rangeelay is to keep the Punjabi folk dance known as Bhangra spreading through our next generations!
