​Gage Park sparkles with thousands of lights during the holidays. Bring your skates and glide through the Gage Park skating recreational trail, weather permitting.​

Additional Information

  • Registration is required upon arrival
  • Every person shall wear a mask or face covering in a manner that covers their mouth, nose and chin 
  • Attendees must be seated at all times 
  • No alcohol, smoking, vaping, marijuana is permitted on City property 
  • The City of Brampton is not liable for loss, injury or damage to any persons attending the event
  • Please stay home if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 
  • You must remain within the designated areas
  • Event and Security staff have the right to refuse entry to any attendee that appears to be in violation of event rule(s) 
  • By entering the event space, you consent to photos and video recordings 
  • Maximum capacity is 574
  • Wrist bands do not guarantee re-entry if you leave event space​​

​There are 5 municipal parking garages in downtown Brampton that have free parking for the Winter Lights Festival. Parking is free after 7pm on Friday and all day Saturday. Click here to view the parking garage map for downtown Brampton.

Brampton residents are allowed to use short-range fireworks (those that travel less than three metres or 10 feet) on their private property four times a year (Victoria Day, Canada Day, Diwali and New Year’s Eve) without the need for a permit.
For 2021, short-range fireworks are allowed on the following days:
May 24 | Victoria Day
July 1 | Canada Day
November 4 | Diwali 
December 31 | New Year's Eve

Brampton's Festival and Events have Gone Green by implementing the following initiatives:
  • Single-use plastic will not be provided on-site (water bottle, straws, and utensils)
  • Vendors will use biodegradable containers and recyclable utensils for food service​

​Brampton's New Year’s Eve celebration will operate during rain, shine, or snow. Cancellations may occur due to extreme weather conditions. Be sure to check the City of Brampton social media accounts @CityBrampton on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram regularly for updates on inclement weather.
