Why +
because it's more than just an open studio. In addition to creating a space for community to gather, share work and support each other, we will also be hosting skill-building workshops during each Open Studio +.
+ is ...
A space to foster creativity and encourage experimentation in an atmosphere of exchange, conversation, and support.
A place to encounter fellow creatives and learn about their work and practice.
A chance to find future collaborators or reconnect with old friends.
A studio to work on your own in-progress pieces and be inspired by someone else’s project.
An opportunity to learn new skills and explore different art practices and tools
Most importantly, Open Studio + is free to attend and open to all skill levels.
Bring your own works in progress or just drop in and use our art supplies and material to start a new project or make a button with our button maker.
We will also be officially launching the BAO Community Library.
This month, the session is on printmaking. Whether you are an experienced printmaker or have always wanted to try your hand at printmaking, our community screen printing session will run from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. We will have pre-made screens for you to learn on as well as the opportunity for you to create your own design by utilizing the cut paper stencil method.
We look forward to seeing you all!
