Why Need a Million Trees
Brampton's future depends on a greener, healthier environment. That's why the City is aiming to plant one million trees by 2040, to fight climate change, grow our urban forest, and improve quality of life.
Launched in 2020, the One Million Trees Program is a citywide effort to make this vision real. But we can't do it alone.
To date,
244,558 trees have been planted across Brampton, and we're well on our way. Let's grow a better Brampton, together.
How to Join the Program
Step 1: Plant a Tree
One single tree can make a big difference. You can learn more information about

Step 2: Record your Tree
After planting, log your tree on our
Tree Tracker. Show the impact you're making in your community!
Step 3: Get Recognized
Change to: Once you’ve recorded your tree, you’re officially part of the movement! You can check your contribution on the interactive map and see how it supports Brampton’s One Million Trees goal.
