Parking is available at the following municipal parking garages:

  • John Street Parking Garage (16 John St.)
  • West Tower Parking Garage (41 George St. S.)
  • City Hall Parking Garage (2 Wellington St. W.)
  • Market Square Parking Garage (1 Theatre Ln.)
  • Nelson Square Parking Garage (2 Diplock Ln.) Free parking

To review your parking session details and transaction, contact mpo.admin@brampton.ca​. If you’ve received a ticket and have a question, please refer to the contact details provided on your ticket.

If you entered the wrong licence plate when paying with HONK or at a pay station, make a second purchase immediately with the correct licence plate to avoid a ticket. Email both receipts to mpo.admin@brampton.ca, and the team will refund the initial incorrect purchase.​

​Your payment is linked to your licence plate. Please double check that your licence plate number is entered correctly when paying.

You can extend your parking time by using the HONK app. Add additional time by following the instructions on the app. Not sure what time your parking expires? Check the expiry time located on your receipt.​

​Yes, you can pay for same-day parking in advance by using the HONK app. Locate the parking garage to see if there are available spaces, pick your time and make a payment.

A ticket does not need to be displayed as your payment is linked to your licence plate.​

You can pay for parking with your mobile phone (starting August 17, 2026) or at a pay station. You will need to enter your licence plate number for all payment options.​​

1. Pay with your mobile phone by using HONK in one of the following ways:

  • Scan the QR code located in the garage.
  • Text the number located in the garage.
  • Use the HONK app and enter the Zone ID located in the garage. The app is free to download for Apple and Android devices.

There is a $0.35 convenience fee added to each transaction when paying with HONK.

2. Pay at a pay station

  • Enter your licence plate number at a pay station and make a payment.

The following parking rates are in effect at all municipal parking garages:

Monday to Friday (9 a.m. to 7 p.m.)

  • First 2 hours are free
  • Then $1.00 every 30 minutes
  • Daily maximum is $9.00
  • Free parking on weekends and holidays​

Paid parking is in effect at all garages from Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. (except Nelson Square garage which remains free). Parking is free after 7 p.m. on weekdays and on weekends and holidays. Failure to pay may result in a ticket.​
