Canada Celebrates the FIFA World Cup 2026™ Community Activation headlines a full weekend of free events in downtown core July 18 and 19
BRAMPTON, ON (July 14, 2026) – Residents and visitors can enjoy soccer festivities as the City hosts one of the final Canada Celebrates the FIFA World Cup 2026™ Community Activations. The weekend also features Vibrant Brampton in Gage Park, the Brampton Farmers' Market and the Downtown Brampton BIA's Party in the Lanes, along with opportunities to explore local businesses, restaurants and attractions throughout the downtown core.
Residents and visitors can use the downtown Brampton event map to plan their visit and explore soccer celebrations, entertainment, local businesses and attractions throughout the downtown core on July 18 and 19. Credit:

To support public safety and create a welcoming environment for residents and visitors, temporary road closures will be in effect throughout the weekend, creating a walkable downtown experience and making it easier to explore the many events taking place across the core.
Canada Celebrates the FIFA World Cup 2026™
Date: Saturday, July 18 and Sunday, July 19
Time:
- Saturday: 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Sunday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Canada Celebrates is two days of free programming in the heart of downtown Brampton. Residents and visitors can experience:
- Live screenings of the FIFA World Cup 2026™ semi-final on Saturday at 5 p.m. and the final on Sunday at 3 p.m.
- Interactive soccer-themed fan experiences and activations
- Live entertainment featuring local musicians and DJs
- Food vendors and a licensed beer garden
- Family-friendly activities and community programming for all ages

A full weekend in downtown Brampton
The celebrations extend beyond Garden Square, with free events taking place throughout the downtown core, creating one of Brampton's biggest weekends of summer programming.

Downtown Brampton BIA Party in the Lanes: Goals, Goods & Grooves
Date: July 18 and 19
Time: 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Location: Daily Times Square and City Hall

Temporary road closures
To support public safety, temporary road closures will be in effect from 6 a.m. on Saturday, July 18 until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, July 19.
The following roads will be closed to vehicle traffic:
- Main Street, between Nelson Street West/Theatre Lane and Wellington Street
- Queen Street, between George Street and Chapel Street/Theatre Lane
During this time, portions of downtown Brampton will become pedestrian-friendly spaces, making it easier for visitors to move between Garden Square, Gage Park, Main Street and other event locations while enjoying everything downtown Brampton has to offer.
Getting to the events
Free parking will be available at all municipal parking garages throughout the weekend. Visitors are encouraged to plan ahead by checking the City's road closures map before travelling.
Brampton Transit
Visitors can take Brampton Transit as a convenient way to travel to and from the downtown events. Use
