Are you…
Between the ages of 16 and 20?
A Brampton resident?
Creative, curious and enjoy working with others?
Then apply for the City of Brampton’s Youth Pocket Films Program!
What is it?
Through this filmmaking program, Muslim youth will gain storytelling and filmmaking skills to produce a short film using just a smartphone. You’ll work in a team to tell stories connected to Islamic history and heritage, and your short film will be inspired by this year’s Islamic History Month theme: "Pioneering Muslim Communities in Canada".
Through a series of five workshops, you will learn how to:
- write a short script and plan your film
- film using your smartphone
- edit your clips
The completed films will be showcased at a community celebration in the evening of Thursday October 30, 2025, at Brampton City Hall.
