BRAMPTON, ON (August 18, 2021) – The City of Brampton is safely re-launching fall registered programs for the first time since the start of COVID-19, with registration opening September 1 for programs starting September 20.

Programs will be available to view online at www.brampton.ca/recreation starting August 28. Available programs will include swimming and skating lessons, gymnastics, learn to play sports programs, and more! This year, Brampton Recreation will run two shorter sessions for fall registered programs, one from September 20 to November 7, and the other from November 8 to December 19.

Registration

To register starting September 1, call 311 or visit Brampton Recreation online.

People can register using an existing or new City of Brampton Recreation registration account. How-to tutorials are available to guide users on how to set up a new account, register for a course, buy a membership, and more. Should you have questions, please email our team at recreation@brampton.ca for support. Alternatively, residents are encouraged to call 311 (or 905.874.2000 if residing outside of Brampton) for registration support.

In-person registration system training sessions are available across the city until August 27. Residents are invited and encouraged to sign up for a one-to-one appointment with a system specialist to learn how to use the registration system, ask questions, and receive helpful tips for future reference. Reservations are available here.

COVID-19 health and safety measures

The well-being of patrons, staff, and the community continues to be the City of Brampton’s highest priority. We are committed to providing visitors and staff with a clean and safe environment.

Brampton Recreation will implement reduced capacity, mandatory face masks, protective barriers in reception areas, and reconfiguration of furniture/equipment to ensure all facilities and programs follow health and safety guidelines from the Government of Ontario and Peel Public Health. This also includes frequent touch point cleaning, sanitizer stations throughout Recreation Centres, staff dedicated to cleanliness checks, and COVID-19 specific training for all staff.
