​​BRAMPTON, ON (September 1, 2026) – Ahead of the 2026 Brampton Municipal Election, eligible voters are encouraged to confirm that they are on the Voters’ List. They can also use the City’s online tool to find their voting locations to plan when and where to vote. Voters must be on the Voters’ List to cast a ballot.

Confirm your status on the Voters’ List

To be eligible to vote, individuals must be Canadian citizens, at least 18 years of age on Voting Day and reside in Brampton (or be the owner or tenant of property in Brampton, or the spouse of such owner or tenant).

Brampton residents can visit brampton.ca/voters​ to check their status, verify or update their information or register to be added if their name is not on the list. Online registration will be available until 5 p.m. on October 17, 2026.

Eligible voters can also visit the City Clerk’s Office at City Hall to check if they are on the Voters’ List and complete an Application to Amend the Voters’ List form, if required. Voters can also complete the form at any advance voting location or on Voting Day.

Eligible voters can use the City’s online voting location tool to find where they can cast their ballot during advance voting and on Voting Day. Visit brampton.ca/voters to search for voting locations and plan when and where to vote.

Important Dates for Voting

  • ​​September 1 to October 17 – Voters can update their information on the Voters’ List. After this date voters can continue to confirm their information on the list. If they need to update their information, they can visit the City Clerk’s Office in person to complete an Application to Amend the Voters’ List or visit a voting location during advance voting or on Voting Day, in order to be added to the list. Voters must bring a piece of identification showing their name and Brampton address.
  • September 1 to October 26 – Eligible Brampton voters who cannot cast their ballot on Voting Day or during advance voting may appoint another eligible Brampton voter to vote on their behalf. Any person whose name is on the Voters’ List or who has been added to the Voters’ List may vote by proxy. More information about proxy voting is available at brampton.ca/proxyvoting.
  • Week of September 14 – Voter notices will be mailed to eligible voters. Voters should bring their voter notice and a piece of ID showing their name and Brampton address to vote. Voters can still vote without a voter notice, by simply bringing a piece of acceptable ID.
  • October 9, 10, 11, 16 and 17 – Advance voting locations are open weekdays from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Voters can vote at any of the advance voting locations in Brampton.
  • October 13, 14 and 15 – Eligible voters who are homebound due to illness, injury or disability may apply to vote using the Home Voting service. Limited appointments are available and more information is available on the City’s website.
  • October 26 – Voting Day is on Monday, October 26. Voters can vote at any location within their ward from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Visit brampton.ca/voters to find voting location information. An accessible voting unit will be available at one location within each ward.
