BRAMPTON, ON (June 13, 2019) – Fresh produce, delicious food, artisan crafts and more – the highly anticipated Brampton’s Farmers’ Market is back for another season.

Residents and visitors will not want to miss Brampton Farmers’ Market Opening Day on Saturday, June 15, 2019 from 7 am to 1 pm along Main Street in downtown Brampton. The first day of the market will kick off with live entertainment, gardening tips from special guest, Frankie Flowers, family-friendly activities, plenty of fresh produce and all-round community fun.

This year, the City is expanding the market experience to include special events, activities, and over 70 vendors throughout the course of the season. Highlights include an Artists’ Marketplace with arts, crafts and handmade items for sale. Attendees can also enjoy At the Market programming every week in Garden Square from 10 am to 12 pm, with feature demonstrations about everything from cooking, to gardening, to live entertainment. Brampton Farmers’ Market Opening Day will also host two unique events for Bramptonians:

1. Pop-up Civil Marriage Ceremony

Residents and visitors are cordially invited to watch the first ever Pop-up Civil Marriage Ceremony on the steps of Brampton City Hall from 10 am to 1 pm. Nine pre-registered couples will get hitched on the spot.

2. #FairDealForBrampton launch

The #FairDealForBrampton healthcare campaign will launch on Brampton Farmers’ Market Opening Day, wherein the City is asking for funding for Brampton’s healthcare system from the Province. Look for the big heart to learn more and sign the petition.

The Brampton Farmers’ Market takes place on Saturdays from 7 am to 1 pm, from June 15 to October 12, 2019.

Mount Pleasant Village Night Market

Brampton also offers a night market during the summer season. Mount Pleasant Village Night Market takes place on Thursdays from 4 to 8 pm from June 20 to October 10, 2019. Vendors include farmers, prepared food vendors and artisans, alongside weekly events and activities.
