Virtual Programming

Garden Square curates free and accessible arts & cultural programming for all Bramptonians. Since opening in 2015, Garden Square has programmed hundreds of programs and events for the community, and has become a gathering space in the heart of downtown Brampton. Programmed July through August, and host to many other events throughout the year, residents can enjoy free online entertainment all summer long. Follow Garden Square on social media for more!​​

Pride in the Square 2021

Pride in the Square returns June 13, 2021! Join the virtual celebrations, all day long. Enjoy activities for all ages, live performances, and a fitness dance party, featuring favourite Pride anthems. Tune in here on June 13!

*Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Garden Square was unable to host artists onstage to record and broadcast live performances. Pride in the Square performances were pre-recorded from offsite studios, and provided by the artists; Urvah Khan’s performance was pre-recorded in 2019 at Maja Prentice Theatre, and provided by the artist.​

PIXEL Digital Art Exhibit 2021

Introducing: PIXEL Digital Art Exhibit!

From June - October 2021

Presented in collaboration with the City of Brampton's Arts, Culture, and Creative Industry Development Agency (ACCIDA)

New this summer! Our physical Square is becoming a digital square with PIXEL, a new digital art exhibit presented on the 24’ Garden Square Screen. Every two weeks, a local artist will have their work featured daily with content running continuously from 11 AM - 12 PM and 5 - 6 PM. 

If you are passing through Garden Square, check out creative inspirations from artists in our community.


Have your work featured in PIXEL! We're offering the unique opportunity for seven (7) local artists and creatives to have their work featured on our 24’ LED screen. 

Submissions can include: still images (digital art, photography, illustrations, paintings); or moving images (theatre, video art, short animations, recorded performances, music videos).

Deadline to Submit: July 1, 2021



JUNE 2021: National Indigenous History Month
Featuring content from PAMA - Peel Art Gallery Museum & Archives, The Gord Downie and Chanie Wenjack Fund, and Local Love.

National Day for Truth & Reconciliation

In partnership with The Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund and the National Film Board of Canada, Garden Square presents all-day screen content focused on Indigenous culture and truth and reconciliation. The Rose Brampton’s 2020 LEGACY concert, featuring Twin Flames, will also be aired.
