Brampton residents with a passion for community encouraged to apply for 2022-2026 term BRAMPTON, ON (February 2, 2023) – Residents with a passion for city building and an interest in helping shape the future of our community are invited to apply to City of Brampton Advisory Committees, Boards and Tribunals for the 2022-2026 term of City Council.
Members of these groups make a difference in our city and are directly involved in local government decisions. Advisory committees, boards and tribunals help inform Mayor and Council on the issues important to Bramptonians. Public participation in the decision-making process is key to building a great place to live, work and play.
Applications are now open for the following:
Citizen-based advisory committees and boards with vacancies: • Accessibility Advisory Committee
• Active Transportation Advisory Committee
• Brampton Heritage Board
• Brampton Library Board
• Brampton Community Safety Advisory Committee
• Brampton School Traffic Safety Council
• Brampton Sports Hall of Fame Committee
• Environment Advisory Committee
Adjudicative committees, administrative tribunals and other appointments: • Administrative Monetary Penalty System Hearing Review Officer
• Brampton Appeal Tribunal
• Committee of Adjustment
• Election Compliance Audit Committee
• Property Standards Committee

A committee of a minimum of three Members of Council will conduct interviews with applicants then make recommendations on appointments to Mayor and Council in March.
