​​​Brampton City Hall and the underground parking garage will close from Saturday, December 16 at 5 AM to midnight Sunday, December 17 and there will be no access to vehicles inside the parking garage at this time.

There will also be temporary street closures on George St. S., between Queen St. W. to Caruso Lane, on December 16 and 17.

The shutdown is required to enable a large crane to remove the existing generator from the City Hall rooftop mechanical room, through a wall opening facing George Street, and hoisting up the new generator. For safety reasons, City Hall and the underground parking garage must be closed when the old generator is removed and the new one is installed.

George Street South will also be closed to vehicular traffic from Queen Street to Caruso Lane from Saturday at 5 am until midnight on Sunday, December 17. Paid duty Peel Regional Police and traffic flagmen will be on site while the work is being done.

Free parking is available at West Tower parking garage while City Hall Parking Garage is closed. Thank you for your patience.
