The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) in cooperation with the provincial government has created a self-certified Safe Travel Stamp based on worldwide industry protocols the WTTC has put together for every aspect of the hospitality and tourism sector.

The specially designed stamp will allow travellers to recognize governments and companies around the world which have adopted health and hygiene global standardized protocols – so consumers can experience ‘Safe Travels’.

Currently, eligible restaurants and hotels in Brampton adhering to the WTTC approved Dine Safe and Stay Safe criteria may apply to be able to use the stamp. There is no fee to apply for the designation and the application form is provided on the reverse side of this page. The Safe Travels Stamp designation is managed by TIAO in Ontario.

The Tourism Industry Association of Ontario (TIAO), asks that destinations that would like to apply for the Safe Travels Stamp to please also use the POST Promise – a Canadian designation signifying a commitment to implement and practise five key steps to workplace safety to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Businesses applying for the Safe Travels Stamp must be a member of TIAO. It is free and easy to become a member, just follow the link below to email their team.
