Unfolding Blossom seeks to activate its site with three-dimensionality, visual depth and directionality whilst acknowledging Brampton's significant history in the greenhouse industry and slogan 'The Flower City'. Its composition uses geometric shapes, bold colours and shadows to pull the viewer’s gaze forward, exaggerating the existing perspective view and drawing focus to its vanishing point. Large angular blocks of colour make the wall appear to be faceted and folding, gradually opening up to reveal an abstract world of oversized florals beyond - this geometric unfolding an abstract interpretation of flower petals blooming open.
