To commemorate the 2017 150th anniversary of Alderlea, the beautifully restored 19th century mansion in downtown Brampton overlooking Gage Park, Tim desClouds has created For the Love of a House, fabricated by Milligan Iron Works, a replica of the original building, complete with artistic illustrations venerating other purposes the property has served down the ages, for the Salvation Army and Royal Canadian Legion. The gingerbread corbels meticulously placed alongside alder leaf reproductions make sitting on its bench a whimsical throwback to another time.
