"Shared Spark" is an ode to the connections created growing up in a city that is so wonderfully diverse and multifaceted. Mixing different cultures together, connecting with people around you, and building that "spark" between the two of you over bonding and sharing aspects of your culture with other people who may be unfamiliar. Each side has a different pattern meant to represent different cultures and types of people, celebrating the diversity between all of us and uplifting communities together. The flowers on the box not only represent the growing diversity and connection with each other but also stand as a motif for Brampton, dubbed "Flower City". Overall, my piece is meant to showcase and celebrate different cultures and people coming together to love, grow, and coexist in a space that gives them room to thrive.
