This public art initiative is part of the My Neighbourhood Art Project, a series of site-specific, temporary art installations created in collaboration with the local community.

Inspired by community members' artworks across two workshops, Radiant Currents celebrates the transformative nature of sports at Balmoral Recreation Centre. The organic composition mirrors the movement of the swimming pool with a rich history, with the blue gradients enhancing a sense of tranquility and spaciousness. The flowing design leads visitors' eyes to a landscape of trails and waves, integrated with pickleball, soccer, basketball and badminton within. Children's drawings shaped the environmental details such as the lollipop trees, friendly houses, origami boats, dotted flowers and angular rainbow.

Wandy hopes the artwork captures the energy of those who frequents the space, allowing the brightness to continue radiating outwards for many decades to come.

My Neighbourhood Art Project exemplifies the importance of meaningful community arts engagement and neighbourhood beautification.
