This public art initiative is part of the My Neighbourhood Art Project, a series of site-specific, temporary art installations created in collaboration with the local community.

Reflections of Riverstone celebrates the natural and communal spirit of neighbourhoods that surround Riverstone Community Centre. Flowing across both sides of the mural, the imagery weaves together scenes of local parks, streams, and the many plants and animals that call this landscape home. The mural mirrors the balance between people and place, where rivers, meadows, and wildlife coexist alongside community gathering spaces. Birds, fish, butterflies, and turtles move through vibrant colours and patterns that symbolize harmony and interconnection.

Created with community participation, the layered cut-out pieces add depth and individuality, representing how each person contributes to the shared story of Riverstone. Like reflections in water, the artwork invites viewers to see themselves as part of this living landscape, ever-changing, yet deeply rooted in Brampton's natural beauty.

My Neighbourhood Art Project exemplifies the importance of meaningful community arts engagement and neighbourhood beautification.
