"Traces of Being explores the fragile continuum between the human and the natural world through a series of cyanotype scrolls, inspired by themes of interconnectedness and the transient nature of life. Working with light, time, and photochemistry, I created impressions that function as both evidence and echo marks left by living forms. The scroll format recalls ancient manuscripts and textile traditions, inviting the viewer to read the images as unfolding narratives that symbolize the ongoing stories of connection and belonging. These blue-toned imprints serve as meditations on the fleeting nature of existence and the subtle exchanges that generate a sense of connection between bodies and environments, encouraging viewers to reflect on their own moments of presence and find meaning in their personal experiences. The work invites viewers to contemplate how they inscribe themselves upon the world - and how the world, in turn, traces itself upon us, imparting a sense of curiosity and wonder about our interconnectedness and mutual influence."
