Artist: Rhea Puri
Category: Temporary Public Art Projects
Address: Mill Street North and Queen Street West

The artwork uses a graphic paint style inspired by tile artwork to create a multicultural mosaic. Infusing the design with patterns from diverse heritages, it unifies the Brampton community. With each tile, a different culture is represented. Similar to the beauty of a quilt, the mosaic composes the global influences that merge together in Ontario. One tile is reflective of Nigerian art, another contains the colours of Jamaican heritage, another has Chinese symbolism, while further tiles explore South Asian references. Furthermore Filipino, Indigenous and Canadian communities are embedded into the artwork from unique angles. The artwork holds motifs of peace, kindness, and tolerance through the use of florals, plants, and historical prints.
