Call For Artists Opportunity

Deadline: February 27, 2025 at 02:00 PM

Brampton has over 65 public art installations, showcasing the City's commitment to celebrating its unique identity and diverse communities across past, present, and future. Public art transforms community spaces, inviting residents and visitors to engage with artistic excellence throughout the city. This dedication is reflected in the City's first Public Art Strategy, endorsed by Council in 2024.

To support this effort, the City is issuing a Call for Public Art Peer Assessors. Peer Assessors will contribute to the selection of artworks through competitive processes.

To support fair and informed decision-making, the City seeks Peer Assessors with professional or experiential backgrounds in areas such as:

  • Visual Arts (practicing artists are strongly encouraged to apply)
  • Cultural Work
  • Curation
  • Engineering/Architecture
  • Urban Design

Additional relevant fields may also be considered.

Peer Assessors will be compensated at the applicable CARFAC rates for their time. They will be called upon depending on the project, with time commitments ranging from a few hours to a couple of days.

All applicants must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Be able to reasonably attend in-person meetings at a City of Brampton facility.

Preference will be given to Brampton residents.
