Celebrating diverse authors and storytellers
From April 21 to May 3, 2026
The City of Brampton, in partnership with local cultural organizations, launched Book Week to celebrate Brampton's role as a champion of diverse storytelling and a vibrant literary hub that honours writers, readers, and storytellers from all backgrounds.
Image Section Brampton is home to a growing community of talented authors, including several inductees into the Brampton Arts Walk of Fame, whose stories have enriched the national and global literary landscape.
During this celebration, a variety of book events and literary programming will take place across the city, encouraging local residents to visit libraries and support local booksellers, and attend community events such as author talks, spoken word performances, writing workshops, and literary showcases, in alignment with Canada Book Day and the Festival of Literary Diversity (FOLD).
